June Grading

Samurai June Grading 2 ,took place on Sunday 9th June at Marshland Hall Dojo. A total of 20 students achieved new grades. This was a mixed grade group from beginner to 1st Kyu.

 

Samurai June Grading 2 was overseen by a OSKA Uk grading panel. The overall standard was once again very good with some very spirited performances on the day. As a result, Lola Hart achieved a very good Merit pass for Adult 10th Kyu with an excellent first grading. Whilst Amber Crossley-King received Merit pass for 3rd Kyu, Ben Greaves 1st Kyu, Alfie Woodcock 10th Kyu, Lucy Prior 10th Kyu,  recieved Credit passes.

Further more we must give a huge congratulations to Ben Greaves for achieving his 1st Kyu. He joined Samurai in Aug 2017 from another group and soon discovered the gaps in his previous teachings. To his total credit he has worked hard with our Sensei and senior students to fill those gaps and reach a good level for 1st Kyu.

In the same vein Reece Doughty and Sofia Doughty achieved passes at 5th Kyu. They had waited over 12 months between grades to make a big step up.  Together with Egor Zaleskis passing his retake for 4th Kyu . This can often happen when students move up from the mid Kyu grades into the Senior Kyu grades.  In short it does not matter the time it takes to get there. Most importantly that you take the time to get there.

The Samurai June Grading 2 completed the late Spring examinations.

5th Kyu :- Sofia Doughty , Reece Doughty

4th Kyu :- Luis Goncalves, Egors Zaleskis

3rd Kyu :- Amber Crossley-King, Gabriele Skujaite
