Established in 1999 with one class a week, Samurai Karate School is today a full time Professional Karate School. We now have a programme delivering classes 6 days a week. As a result students have great variety in training and opportunity from 18 available sessions. Providing Karate classes for kids & teens in Wisbech. Along with our Adult and Family classes.

  • Adults Classes 16yrs and over
  • Ladies only Classes
  • Family Classes
  • Squad Training
  • One to One training by arrangement.

Primary Focus

Traditional Karate virtues coupled with moral principals are the foundation of our teaching. Above all developing positive confident mindsets is our mission. Chiefly our just cause is to develop strong, confident individuals inspiring them to become the best version of themselves. Likewise the development of mental and physical strength is equally important. In essence we aim to equip our students with the resilience to overcome and deal with challenging situations.  To sum up these are the main qualities about Samurai Shotokan Karate School, along with our unique family atmosphere. To help people become the best versions of themselves.

In addition we also encourage and support students in the competitive element of Karate. As a result competitors have frequently won medals in competitions, notably producing 3 national champions.

About Samurai Karate for kids & teens in Wisbech :- Professional Good Practice

Appropriate good practices represent our professional ethic. Such as, Insurance cover, DBS Checks for Coaches, Safeguarding Policy and registration & First Aid. That is to say Student safety and welfare are our prime importance. In addition Students can also develop coaching skills within the School Syllabus.

About Samurai Shotokan Karate School :- Coaching Team

Our Samurai Coaching team is highly experienced and qualified. Sensei Carl has been with us for over 10 years . Sensei Susan who joined Samurai in 2018. Both highly skilled and capable Karate-Ka. Whilst Sensei Iain has trained  from beginner to Sandan starting with Samurai in 2012. Senpai Amber started training at 5 years old in 2014 and is now an accomplished Shodan and a Junior Coach.

Training experience

We have trained with many top quality Sensei over the years. Always seeking to work with the best in order to further our learning and growth. As a result we have maintained and developed our high standards. Also making some great Karatefriends along the way.

We have trained with Sensei Anne Hastings 6th Dan, Sensei Ady Gray 6th Dan and Sensei Richard Amos WTKO 7th Dan. All have left big impressions on our Karate journey and continue to do so.
