A small Samurai Team attended the ESKA Team Competition event at UEA Sportspark on 14/10/18. This was a Team only event for both Kata and Kumite. Riley Allen, Amber Crossley-King and Thien Clare entered the Team Kata section. While Riley and Amber took part in the Pairs Kata event.

The Junior Team Kata  was an open grade event. Samurai came up against some very good Black Belt teams . They did their very best but didnt finish in the medals.

Amber & Riley were the lowest graded pair in their Pairs Kata Category. However they put in an amazing performance of Heian Nidan. They finished  Gold medal position.  A really fantatsic effort.

We had some guest competitors with us on the day.  We were joined by Tia Stewart and Faye Manning from Paul Herbert Sensei Kiryoku , along with Isla Scott from TMAC, Sensei Dave Wilson.

The girls took Gold in Team Kumite, Silver in Pairs Kata and Bronze in Team Kata. It was a first ever joint event with Kiryoku.  We are very grateful for the girls competing . Also for  the support from Paul and Dave Sensei.
