Kyu Grading July 2023

Marshland Hall Hombu Dojo hosted the Samurai Kyu grading July 2023. Following a tough examination 35 students successfully achieved new grades.  Its was a delight to see 10 new students achieving their first Kyu levels. There was some solid performances through the grades. Which clearly demonstrated a good foundation in basic Khion. It was pleasing to see 8 Credit passes , 5 Merit pass and a Distinction pass for Abigail Swiderek.  Everyone should be very proud of their achievements.

Solid performances resulted Merit pass for Joshua Forrest, Andrew Morphew and Lola Hart.

In the adult section Gemma Chapman in her first grading, achieved a pass for her 10th Kyu. Matt Boulton 1st Kyu and Sarah Chambers 3rd Kyu gained merit passes.

Todays grading was a display across the grade spectrum. Highlighting the progression between each grade level,  as well as the foundation of technique in the beginner grades. Furthermore we have seen the benefit of squad training in the performances and progression of the students.

The students were also treated to a Kata performance from our new  WUKF World Champion Abigail Swiderek.

Kyu grading july 2023 samurai karate school

In conclusion the level of spirit and determination shown today was once again amazing.  A number of young Karate-Ka  that have excellent future potential. As always the effort as well as the focus was very strong.  Representing the Samurai way. The effects of which were clearly obvious in the progress made from their previous gradings.

A massive well done to everyone who attended this Kyu Grading June 2022. Along with grateful thanks to our superb coaching team.
