Grading November 6th 2021

Grading November 6th 2021 was a very significant event as was almost a year to the day from Lockdown grading.  It took place at Marshland Hall Dojo and with 35 students achieving new grades. Including 14 students who took part in the Lockdown Grading 12 months ago.

It was great to see 11 new students achieve their first grades. In the Junior section Effie Freeman 12th Kyu and Abigail Swiderek 11th Kyu produced excellent performances for  Merit passes.

Also in the Junior section Josh Forrest 7th Kyu and Lola Hart 7th Kyu stood out with  merit passes. Isabelle Shepperson 1st Kyu produced her best ever grading with an excellent Merit passes.

Grading November 6th 2021

The Adult section was just as productive as Lottie Arnill 7th Kyu produced an outstanding performance to grade up to 7th Kyu Merit pass. Furthermore, Antony Culy achieved a very good Merit pass at 10th Kyu along with Chis Wood gaining a Credit pass at 9th Kyu.

It was also a day for the Samurai Ladies as Moira Hardy 6th Kyu, Donna Shepperson 6th Kyu, Sara Fulcher 6th Kyu, Sarah Chambers 6th Kyu, Emma Forrest 6th Kyu, and Elaine Sander 7th Kyu all achieved Credit passes.

Grading November 6th 2021

Overall the level of spirt and determination shown today was amazing. The atmosphere was electric.  This group of  young people have really taken up the challenge that Karate offers. Also they have all made significant personal development over recent months. Gaining in confidence and self belief. They have also developed a positive mindset.

 

In conclusion these performances and progressions have been so very pleasing. Especially considering the difficult circumstances we have experienced. In the face of adversity we have found a positive way forward amending and adjusting in order to continue or progress. As a result we have not only been able to achieve success but raise the bar and improve what we do.

A massive well done to everyone who attended this Grading November 6th 2021.
