Grading May 2022 took place at Thomas Clarkson Academy Dojo on 21st May. A total of 27 students achieved new grades. We saw a very good overall standard far a lower grade exam. Foundations of basics are now well established as students are showing great progress from their previous gradings. This resulted in 10 Credit passes and Merit passes. There is some real talent in this our junior section which is so exciting to see.
In the Junior section Effie Freeman 10th Kyu and Sebastian Tearle 9th Kyu and Abigail Swiderek 9th Kyu produced excellent performances for Merit passes. Lucas Latham also received a Merit pass at 11th Kyu for an excellent class demonstration.
The Adult section produced credit passes for Sally Wood at 6th Kyu and Lola Hart a great Merit pass also at 6th Kyu. These ladies were on catch up as they were unable to attend our previous grading session. Our new revised grading programme is working really well. Keeping grading groups smaller and more manageable.

Once again the level of spirt and determination shown today was amazing This group of young people continue to take up the challenge that Karate offers. The comment from the grading panel was that we had to look hard for much to critique.
Everyone has worked so hard resulting in these performances and progressions. To see the good foundations of Kihon has been so very pleasing.
A massive well done to everyone who attended Grading May 2022.
